I gave the model
an 'inside' and 'outside' skin. This helps with texturing and rendering, but I did it mostly to ease my own
mind. The 'surface' of a computer model is a mathematical abstraction with no depth. The walls for this model
are a kilometer thick - arbitrary, sure, but a figure I'm comfortable with. The windows and mirrors have been
made one kilometer thick as well, just to make things easy.
So, what the hell are the walls made of, anyway? Most suggest that the walls fall into the PFM catagory; Pure
Fucking Magic (thanks go to Justin for introducing me to the term:). I myself am willing to extend credit to
the builders of the Titans, but it must be noted that my capacity for disbelief-suspension is most impressive.
